Grizzly Bandsaw

I am looking to get a 14" band saw in the very near future and was wondering if any members have any experience with the following Grizzly model.

Reading the reviews on their site and on Amazon it seems like a great little saw for the money. Probably all I will need until I can expand the shop. It seems to have been out for about five years. Any advise on this saw would be greatly appreciated. I am also considering the Delta that is at Lowe's. This is the link.

Does anyone have this saw and what do you think of it. The reviews on this saw were not as good as the Grizzly.

I also have one. I got it off of CL last summer. I also have the riser block on mine. It is a great saw for the price. Only down side is it does not handle 3/4" blades all that well but will resaw great with a 1/2". If you get over to my neck of the woods you are welcome to stop buy and test it out.

I have the Grizzly also. It took a little tender setup time getting the guides locked in correct. But that just gave me time to get to know the saw a little better. I like it. Get rid of the blade it comes with and get a good one. Iturra or something similar. I don't have the riser attachment so I can't offer any info on it.

Tracy, I know where you can get a 16" Grizzly for the price you would pay for a 14".

There is a 16" Grizzly band saw with mobile base and blades for 550.00.
I looked at it when I was there last week and it looked almost new.

I have the G055 with a riser block and the Shop Fox mobile base -- it is a good bandsaw, but for about the same money after shipping, I'd strongly consider the saw that Mac recommends. The corrected phone number is in Mac's last post to the thread -- I'd call the guy and see what model it is -- the footprint of each saw should be similar so that should not be a factor. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
