Everbody's definition of a good deal is different but I would say it's a little high. My rule of thumb is about half current retail. A quick looks says you can buy a new Grizzly for about $600. They have fairly frequent sales too where you might reasonably expect to pay something on the order of 525 (maybe). And the current one will have features and refinement that a 2003 model doesn't have. But shipping will add to the Grizzly price.

I would say $300 is a more appropriate price but they may have built a little room into the advertised price for negotiation too.

If you paid $600 and $100 shipping for a new one then that price is not bad.

I saw someone locally was trying to sell a Harbor Freight model for $250. I was not ready to buy but that price seemed a bit high to me too.

I agree with the $300 that Jim mentioned.

Band saws come up for sale frequently and can often be found for less. I bought a Rockwell 14” about a month ago for $150 and replaced the tires and blade for another $70.
