Hello NC Woodworkers,
I am a typical backyard woodworker who inherited my love of woodworking from my Grandfather when I was a teenager (I just turned 50 this past March). I have never really specialized in any one area, build a few pieces of furniture each year, do some furniture repair, and do a little turning.
It was really great to run across this site at this time. My wife is retiring from teaching this June; we have bought a small store building in Halifax, NC and are currently remodeling the building. She will be operating a custom pictue framing business and she wants to feature some of my work along with work of other NC artisans.
We would love to hear from any of you who may be looking for an outlet for your work and also from those of you who may have some business advice or experience that you would like to share.
I am currently in the utilty construction business and plan to retire the 1st quarter of next year and do what I love, make saw dust.
