I got this email today taking about pre-ordering the DJ-1 Drilling Jig. I watched the video and thought........"This would be good to have in the tool arsenal".

I then clicked on the link to pre-order............and WOW. Not what I was expecting. Now if it had an electrical cord or a battery :D

Drilling Jig - Bridge City Tool Works

I do have their KerfMaster which I purchased used and they do make quality tools.

I will probably be the only one, but I'll just have to do without.

Find yourself a Stanley 59 doweling jig and it is all you will ever need. Just get an old one. The newer versions are junk. I have one and at one time had 3. Gave one away, sold the other one. Still my go to when doweling.

I agree that the ol' Stanley 59 jig is a great tool. There is no play in the simple mechanics and the dowels are always dead-on aligned. Of course, it's slow going, but I am a hobbiest, not a furniture factory.
