Somebody recommended this supplier many years ago and I just tried them.
http://www.woodcraftbands.com
NOT ASSOCIATED WITH WOODCRAFT SUPPLY.
His web site is dated, the prices are about a dollar more now. Still the best price you will find.
He is a retired quality control manager from Vermont American, 70 years old, works from home near Boone, NC
I ordered several blades the week of the hurricane and he called Saturday to see that I got them OK.
Really nice guy and very knowledgable on bandsaw blades.
We talked a while and he told me he checks the 100 ft coils when they come in for thickness, set, and tpi.
Then he cuts to order, degreases the ends, welds, grinds, checks the weld.
These are as good if not better than any saw blade I ever bought.
He uses Olson blade and some Starrett due to Olson outsourcing the smaller sizes.
So, all his material is made in the USA.
If you go through blades you really need to try this supplier.
