Finally

finished my granddaughter's book case. The case is birch with a sanding sealer of dewaxed shellac and denatured alcohol mix, 50-50. Three coats of General Finishes wal

nut gel stain and four coats of General Finishes clear pre-cat urethane. The top has a clear birch inset with clear walnut edges. The top had a coat of boiled linseed

oil to bring out the grain and then eight coats of pre-cat urethane. All parts were hand rubbed with micro fiber, beginning with 3200 grit and ending with 12000 grit.
