It's not a Harbor Freight bench. It's a step or two up from HF--larger, heavier, tool tray, two vise mechanisms, and much better quality mechanisms. $50 is a screaming steal. Somebody take up Mike on his offer.

I couldn't care less what you think of this bench or whether you buy it or not. It absolutely means nothing to me. I saw it at a yard sale and thought someone could use it. I offer some small help but am not selling, defending, nor offering any opinion.

If I were starting out, had the space and needed a bench, I'd jump at that. Just having work holding (vises) is worth the $50.

No, this bench may not be ideal for the hand tool woodworker who dimensions lumber from rough to finish boards with a hand plane, but it would work nicely for >95% of what I do (I still struggle using a hand plane).

Here's the best idea for a potential buyer: Combine
1) buying this bench and picking it up from Mile's neighbor with
2) some of that good old Mike Davis training I have heard so many good things about. (Note I am not offering Mikle services nor authorized to do so - those arrangements are to be made with Mike!).

With that combo someone is well on their way to easily being a better woodworker than me (low bar)!

AAGHH!! I give. Mike, if this bench is still available, I'll take it. Check if there are dogs or pegs that come with it. Can probably come pick it up in next 4 days. Let me know. Thanks

There are a number of mods you can do to these budget benches. For instance, a slide-in cabinet that attaches to the legs would prevent racking and add mass and storage space.

I actually own a modified Harbor Freight bench and I am not ashamed to say so. It is not perfect but it works well for me. From the pictures this bench is better but I will stick with what I have.

Thanks for offering it to the group.
