Gloat Warning

Just back from a 12 hr round trip to see Michael Garner. When my back straightens up, I'll unload and post pics. If I ever say I'm going to get major tools on a very rainy day again, someone whack me with a 2 X 4. Thanks to those who suggested Michaels Woodmaster as an option instead of the Delta/Performax units I was considering. The LOML wondered why there were three large bumps in the tarp instead of one. Had to tell her I bought the 16" jointer and 18" Rikon BS too! (I had the trailor, it looked empty with just the drum sander.)

OH Man!

You'll have to extend the shop with all that gear.

Wish you could have picked up my Dust Collector while you were down that way.

You're gonna love that 16 inch jointer once you get it set up.

HOLY [STRIKE]SMOKES[/STRIKE] GLOATS! Sounds like one heck of a score! That drum sander is AWESOME ... and the other tools are certainly nice too, I bet!

Can't wait to try them out. It will be a while though, I'm in the midst of a major overhaul of the shop and will also need 2 new 30 amp dedicated outlets. Might be able to use the bandsaw sooner. First I have to get them off the trailor, that will be a challenge.

Steve,

Wow. What a snag. I'll bet after you get the tools set up in the shop, you'll think all the back aches and all the miles were worth it. Congrats on a great snag

Congrats!! Is that the old iron 16" jointer? If so, I can't believe it ended up back in Rowan county:gar-La;. You will like the Woodmaster too. Mine does a good job for me.

Glad to be an enabler for the buyer and a used property agent for the seller!! But man, I had no idea you'd return home with a Dromedary and Bactrian under one tarp (one-hump and two-humped camels for those still out in the rain). Great score for a single trip. I'm sure you left Michael pleased, too.

OK, now it's a gloat

Finally, the pictures. My wife forgot her responsibilities as the cameraman until we had gotten this far. No pics of the "three humped tarp" and none of the Rikon bandsaw. More on that later.

You can see the woodmaster on the trailor. This is my second son Stephen. Note the muscles - we needed them.

Up the ramp.

In the shop but still have a hump to climb. The new addition is 5" above the old shop floor. I am in the process of completely overhauling the shop. I took the shrlves down and stuff is piled everywhere.

Nice score, and all at once. That is the way to do it, take all your lumps at one time and get it over with. Congrats on the newly acquired tools. YOU ROCK!

NICE score Steve!!! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

I tried to enlarge the photos, but I think the photo gallery suspension isn't allowing it. They do like nice from what I can see and from what you've told us about them. A triple YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK on the great new sawdust makers!!! ;-)

Trent :-D
