G & G Adriondak Chairs

This is a plan that I think was in Popular Woodworking a few years ago for some Greene and Greene adirondak chairs. I have been looking for an excuse to build them for several years. I made full size templates of all the parts, because I figured once I built one, I would be asked for a bunch more. Turns out I was right. These 2 are going to our house at Kerr Lake. I have 2 more that are going to my brother's house in Maine. They are 5/4 cypress, and the decorative plugs are mahogany. So far there are 2 coats of semi-gloss marine varnish. These are big chairs!

Thanks for posting the link to the plans, Dan. They are not challenging to build - but are time consuming. I am ready to sit down on these on the porch and have a cold one!

Great looking chairs. I've built probably 30+ of the New Yankee adirondack chair but these would be a nice change.
