I don't know. Extra knives versus new at $425 with a warranty. I figure that's borderline unless you think they were better built back when they were green.

1st time I saw it, it was dirt cheap, apparently someone pointed that out to him, and jerked it off CL and put it on eBay with a big reserve....

It'd sell at $300 I think. I have to think his time and not having the money would be worth the $50. . .

Then again, I spent 30 minutes comparing the cost difference between ordering transtint stain from rockler or a veneer store that would have saved me all of 5 dollars After 30 minutes I got bored and will probably just order from Rockler today for the extra few dollars. So I can't critisize at all!
