Thinking Of Have A Cookout/slash Meet And Great At My Home To Bring Together Some Of The Areas Woodworkers To Talk Shop Share Knowledge And Hopefully Make Some New Freinds. Thought Id Post It Early To See How Much ,if Any, Interest Those In My Neck Of The Woods Might Have In This Sort Of Thing.

I Have A Big Yard With Plenty Of Space For Horse Shoes A Pool And A Volleyball/badmitten Net So It Could Be A Family Thing. With Plenty Of Entertainment For Kids Of All Ages Lol. Nothing Fancy Just Burgers And Dogs And Good Company.

Maybe If All Goes Well It Could Become A Regular (perhaps Monthly) Excuse For Us Local Wood Addicts To Get Together And The Wives Cant Hardly Complain About Free Food And Intertainment. And For Those Of You Who Have Kids Like Me Getting Them Outside And Off The Videogame For A Day Is Always A Great Bonus.

Actually Dave, it is southwest of Asheville. Walt, your suggestion is great, but we've got a hea start on getting together -- you'll need to join the Western NC Wooworkers Association that meets once each month in Fletcher at the 10,000 SF shop of one of our members, Steve and Wes Keull of Mountain Sawyers. We have about 50 members and meet to share ideas, learn new techniques, swap lies and share other woodworking lore. We have a BBQ every Fall, too. Another NCWW member (CaptnA - Andrew Mills) hosted a great BBQ late last summer in Arden that was attended by a bunch of folks from across the state. I'll put you on the mailing list for the WNCWA meetings (I also happen to be President of the organization)...
