I turned a bunch of new pens this weekend here are 4 of them.

These are all in Big Leaf Maple. On the left is a screw cap navigator then a European with a wooden center band. I added a wire burn to the cap and used gold embossing powder for the inlay. The third is an Ultra Premium Cigar and finally a Wall St II in Platinum and Titanium. All of these pens have a satin CA finish. We took this picture for the calendar contest, I uploaded a higher resolution image to the contest gallery but I wanted to post it here too. My dad took this picture and my mom made the arrangement. I have a few others I made with inlays. I will post those pictures tomorrow. alex

Very nice work...

If I could just find someone to make a fountain pen. My dads lathe is a bit big for pen making.:gar-Bi

I do believe that this will make the calendar, it's a very nice picture.

I'd say it's a slam dunk for the calendar. Four pens, fourth month - April?? I'll vote for ya.

As always, nice work.:icon_thum

Those are awesome. I'm really impressed with not just the quality of the pens, but the layout for the picture as well. I entered a picture of mine in the calendar contest, but I think I'd vote for this picture instead. It's just awesome.

Great results, Alex. Four pens from the same wood, yet each grain pattern is unique. :icon_thum

Nice, Alex. The pens look great and the layout does too! There's no way an old man like me can compete with you. I can't imagine how good you'll be after more practice!!!:swoon:

What pen kit is the 3rd one from the left. I love that one and must have one. :)

I believe that is an "Ultra Premium Cigar" kit. Basically a cigar pen with extra bling. Cigar pens are one of my favorites and they sell well because they have a lot more heft to them.

Dave:)

Thanks Alex. You are very talented. I will check those two site out. I was just at Woodcraft yesterday but that didn't catch my eye as much as yours did.
