In case anyone else has been waiting for a price drop on the Forrest Chopmaster blades like I have, they dropped the price yesterday. I ordered one of the 10". They have been staying around $120.

The 10" is now $106 and the 12" is $136.

Lance,

I have a Forrest WWII full kerf blade on my 10" cabinet saw, but if you want a truly superior blade for your Mitersaw, I'd recommend an 80-tooth Freud Ultimate Cutoff blade in 10" http://www.amazon.com/Freud-LU85R01...f=sr_1_59?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1246328837&sr=1-59 for $84.99 or as I have on my 12" Porter-Cable Compound Miter Saw, the 96-tooth LU85R012 blade for $124.99 (I paid $70 for it when I bought the saw on sale from Amazon.com 2 years ago). I crosscuts the hardest hardwoods like butter with no tearout at all. I love my WWII, but for cross cutting, these two blades cannot be beaten.

PS -- We've missed you and your lovely wife at our WNCWA meetings this year -- love to see you back!

Thanks for the info Rob. I already ordered and they've shipped the Forrest, but I'll keep the Freud in mind if I upgrade to a 12" or when I need a new blade. I have the WWII on my table saw and love it as well. I also bought the Forrest Dado King set and it has been very nice to work with.

We may come back to the meetings at some point, but not right now. Too many other things going on. I feel like I get one thing done and add two more to the list.
