Fish Eye?

I'm starting to put the finish on the second band saw box and my wife, looking over my shoulder said, "That looks like fish eye." I said that usually occurs when using polyurethane and this is shellac. "No, look at that." Then I realized she was referring to the little knot. Here's what it looks like.

Ahhh... wood... every piece is unique, and you never know what you'll get. Part of the reason I love woodworking..

That's cool. I was working with a sheet of radial cut ply one time and kept seeing faces in the grain and knots. I told my wife about it and she just assumed that I had been spraying lacquer with the garage closed :-D :-D :drunken_s
