Although I registered several months ago I have never posted. I usually peruse one of the other boards daily although I am not a prolific poster. I see no reason to post meaningless drivel soley for the sake of increasing one's post count. Unfortunately, that happens in some places. One of your members has assured me that this is a great/informative forum and huge egos either don't exist or were checked at the door before entering. Sounds like my kind of place. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of me.

Hi Tar Heel, Welcome to the best WWing site on the WWW. You were informed correctly. There are no ego-maniacs around here. Everyone is friendly, respectful, and always willing to share their expertise. Don't hesitate to jump in with questions/suggestions. Also, request a Photo album so you can post pictures of your work.
Take care,

Hi Tar Heel,

Welcome to (posting at) the NCWW site. Good to hear that your'll participate. I agree with the others. There doesn't seem to be any ego here... although a few of the members may have contracted the dreaded Woodguy Disease... one of them is even suspected to be a carrier.

Welcome to the site -- glad you've decided to join the most informative woodworking site that there is -- we enjoy sharing ideas and expertise, reivews and techniques and a quip or two once in the while. We think you'll enjoy the threads you'll read and we hope you'll join in. However, we do believe that "no pics, it didn't happen", so be sure to request a photo gallery and show us some of your projects or shop!

Welcome fellow Tar Heel!

Glad you decide to post your presence. :icon_thum

When I feel a hint of ego inflation I just head over to the Photo Gallery and my perspective is readjusted

Welcome to the board.

I'm going to have to agree with your rant about meaningless posts ... they just make the search for meaningful data more painful and add little value, if any, to the quality posts.

While there's always going to be a couple "big post'ers" on the boards, for the most part this board has been pretty good ... though I fear that as time goes by we will see more and more meaningless posts ... especially as the site continues to "award" the big post'ers on quantity, not quality.

That's where there will always be a conflict of interest ... we all want meaningful posts, but the people who run the site want more visitors and a way to get that is to have a lot of posts ... it's an endless circle!

Anway ... enjoy the site and looking forward to seeing your quality posts here!
