Great Job Wayne,

They all look Great~! What finish did you decide one? Oh and what woods did you use on the 6 production pens?

I'm leaning toward the CA/BLO finish.

The pens in the pic are red oak, cedar and poplar. I didn't like the poplar much. Nor the red oak for the open pores.

I've got some sapele, walnut, and cherry waiting. Also some cocobolo on the way. Still a lot of experimenting to go.

How many coats of CA/BLO are you doing? I like that it pops the grain for sure, but can't tell so far for my self how thick the finish is.

I put anywhere from 3 to 6 coats on. Sometimes sanding between coats, sometimes not. Just trying to figure out what works best.

Great looking pen collection! Like the variety of woods and colors. The finish is beautiful, makes the grains really pop. Great work
