The wife and I stopped by the Harbor Freight in Kannapolis on the way home from Louisiana. They had this on sale for $200. My wife said Happy Anniversary.

Already got my first bowl on it. Dave O was right, this lathe has to be the best kept secret. It's an awesome lathe and you can't beat it for the price.

I do have the best wife in the world.

I do not know, I was prepared to pay full price. The sale was a surprise and an added bonus. I never saw it advertised.

Outstanding acquisition man! I want that very same lathe, as I have heard a ton of great things about it. Plus, it seems like I keep getting hold of green tools, so I may as well continue the trend! If only I had that same problem, but with GOLD ones instead! :eusa_danc

HF has a sidewalk sale going on this weekend,could be where the 200 price came from. June 6-7-8.They also have a nice store just off 485 on south blvd. going towards pineville (think thats right) on the right just pass Arnold Palmer Cadillac.

Went to visit family. Didn't bring anything back except tools. But I ate a lot of mudbugs.

I sure like mine and the price can't be beat. On a side note: I was talking to the Manager of the Kannapolis HF store on Saturday and he indicated to me that the $199.00 sale price is going the way of cheap gas. Way he talked due to material cost (read steel), China not giving factory's subsidy's any longer and the cost of shipping (slow diesel burning boats from China) it may be that the price of HF could be going up - a lot!:no:
