This is a Victorian Quilt Rack I completed last week. It is white pine and I applied 1 coat of shellac. I would like to stain it a very dark tone. I am not sure which is the best way to proceed with the finish. I have brushes, HVLP spray gun, siphon spray gun, and the Earlex system. I would appreciate advice on your personal recommendations. Thanks folks!

Gel stain or dye would work, it really depends on what you want your end product to look like. I like to use dye as a base color and use a penetrating stain to add depth.
