The desk is complete, I asked several questions here on my way, so thanks to everyone that helped!

It's of my own very simple design and it's Hard Maple with Sapele accents. Finished with 5 coats of Arm R Seal, if you haven't used this finish, try it, it's great! The long top is going to be attached to the wall with a cleat, so the leg in the back is just holding it up right now.

Anytime I make something for my wife she gets me a gift and this one is a good one! My first Blue Spruce tools. Haven't had a chance to use them, so I cant say too much, but they look and feel great. Also, best packaging of a woodworking tool that I have seen yet.

Really sweet job on the desk David. And a great score on the tools!

looks great, don't know if it was intentional but it is strikingly similar to my reception desk at ECU School of Business. It's always interesting to see how design elements crop up in different people's work. You should check it out ECU Desk

Stuart, I swear I never seen that desk before! :) That non 45 degree angle on the corner both really makes them look similar.

Nicely done David and some very nice new tools too.

BTW, those "ridiculously fat" pins of yours look just fine and from the top view they look like box joints (aka finger joints).

Fantastic desk. That will be a joy to use: spacious top and lots of leg room. Thumbs up on the blue spruce!
