I put the final touches on the Coffee table tonight. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I did some distressing to it but am going to let the wife and the two year old decide how much more needs to be done. :gar-La;
To distress it I used a little 240 paper and then anywhere the wood came through I used a stain pen to color the bare wood. I also anywhere that I sanded and discolored a little just wipes some extra paint on to even it all out.

I hear ya Buddy. That is in the hopper. I just need to run by the BORG and pick up one board so I have enough to make the legs for it. I am also thinking I might do the legs at a slight angle since it will be a little taller. I haven't decidied. I will have to draw it up in sketchup and see what it looks like.

Jeremy come on up anytime. Bring the kids they can play in the bonus room. :) I think it turned out pretty good. I learned alot. I had never used a plate(biscuit) joiner before so that was a fun learning experience. I finally put my router table together after 5 years for this project. Now I need another router so I don't have to take it on and off. I actually got to where I could almost cut a straight line on the bandsaw. I found I REALLY need another table saw. That was discussed in a different post, I am currently saving for that. :) I also realized I had way more fun taking a picture in a magazine and making it magically appear in my living room than I ever thought possible.
