Just finished and installed the weapon/storage cabinet for our new Dojo in Lincolnton. Built from walnut and leftover materials. The only items purchased for this project was two piano hinges and two pieces of pegboard. The outside materials are walnut, alder plywood and maple. The inside is walnut, alder plywd., birch plywd., S.Y.Pine, and pegboard. The finish is clear lacquer.
This was a fun project with the most challenging part being the hidden locking mechanism. If anybody here has some experience with hidden locks or compartments I would love to have your input. This was completely my design so there's nobody else to blame but me. I've posted the complete picture set in my member gallery so let me have it. What do you guys think?
