Finger Joint Bit- How to use,Tips,Tricks

I want to learn how to use a finger joint bit. I cant post pic (site updates) of bit. But is non-adjustable finger type. I am extending my workbench and want to use cuttoffs, etc...to accomplish.

Any tips, hints, etc....

Thanks for that, it's perfect. Great web resource. I had been trying to "flip" the second piece over, not moving the router bit height. Obviously with "limited" success:gar-Bi.

Nah, :gar-Cr. They just had a poster showing one. Hard to see true dimensions that way.
