It is now offfical. After 5 + long years, a few major headaches :BangHead: and not to mention lots of $$$$ my youngest daughter will be graduating from UNCP on Saturday. I am looking forward to a few more $$$ in my check book. On the down side there goes the peace and quiet of our empty nest. :wwink:

Now all I have to do is get her a job.:eusa_thin

Once a parent always a parent. But you know it is all worth it.

A major milestone for any parent. Congrats. Now, tell us, does she think her parents learned a great deal while she was in college? My son didn't think I knew ANYTHING when he left, but when he was finished I constantly amazed him with my wisdom.:gar-La; They grow up fast - and sometimes they grow up hard.

Job? Dad; Do I hafta? I just got out of college. I can't believe you are gonna make me get a job? This will sound all too familiar in the near future.
Good luck to you. The kids are not all like this example though.

Congratulations! You must be proud as well. Being somewhat rotten, I offer up this to have some fun.

At her graduation celebration, pull her aside and ask where she wants her mail forwarded! :eek:

For fallback, have some type of funny lease ready for her to sign in which she agrees to pay room & board!

See if you can do it with a straight face! :gar-La;

Record the conversation and send it to America's Funniest Home Videos. I am sure the expression on her face would get you at least the $5,000 second prize! Then you can change over to a Hawk! :icon_chee

Congratulations Scott! Don't worry, knowing you she'll move out before you know it!

Oh...wait...I was supposed to say something supportive...eh I mean: "knowing you, you raised her really well and she'll have a job and a place of her own in no time!".

There...nice recovery...phew!

Congrats to you and your daughter. Many props to you for helping her through!
Most of the kids graduating are like "man, now I've gotta find a job" Me? I'm ready to only have a job!

Scott - congrat's. I love the "lease" idea. She'd probably keep it forever!

Scott - Congrats all around!

David (3js) - I have 4 kids. Someone once asked me about the road noise in my car. "Road noise?!? I'm not even sure if my radio works." :rolf:

My hat is off to you, Scott. Parenting is one of the toughest jobs, and all you get is on the job training. :elvis:
