Epoxy logo sign

I made this sign for my son-in-laws youtube channel logo. This is my second attempt as my first experienced some color bleed through because I got in a rush. I have learned that I must "slow down and proceed with caution" for my best results. Still can't quite figure out the best way to apply the final clear coat but it is definitely improving somewhat for me.

It looks great to me as it is. Why would clear epoxy, which self levels, need a clear coat on top of it? I see bartops all the time that are finished with just the epoxy. Looking at the photo it seems to me you would want to keep the gloss finish rather than knock it down to a satin, so why not just leave the logo as it is right now?

This is the finished sign. I had to clear coat it after I surfaced the entire top surface down to level. The challenge for me is to get the edge coated properly. I used the foam roller around the perimeter and it did ok.

I tried to upload a video of the router surfacing the sign but I can't figure out how to do this. This is a screen shot of what the appearance of the sign was after surfacing but before final epoxy coat. Hope this helps.
