Eagle..er..Hawk has Landed !

Thanks to some very nice folks in FLA (J&T B !) I was able to obtain a very nice RBI Hawk 216VS Scroll Saw complete with manual,cover,blades and an introductory book on scrolling.

Just in time for the Holidays, I plan to make/scroll & turn my gifts this year
(yet another first for this newbie).

Now I have no excuses for the quality of my work!

Another thanks to Woodylarry who helped me put unpack, assemble and tune-up this sweet machine. Thanks again Larry!

Also, Scott (NC Scroller) will be stopping by to give me tips on how to use and maintain. Thanks in advance NC!

I hope to create some "memorable scenes" in the near future, thanks to the lady who passed this gem along. I can't thank her enough !

Congrats! I have its big brother. If its an older 216 it's worth a call to RBI and check for updates. Have your serial # handy. They have upgraded a few things through the years. (switches, motors, speed control, upper blade hold down, etc.)

Hey, Thanks for that. I haven't had a chance to read the owners manual, much less try out saw. Do they provide these items at a discount? , How does that work? Due to safety issues? or just options, available for purchase.

I don't think any of them were free except for the motor change or switch/rheostat under warranty. Mine had been sent back to them for an overhaul by the original owner and some of these things were done. RBI gave me all this info on the saw before I bought it.
