This is probably obvious to many but was a perplexing problem for me. Until now, I could not find a good solution to adapt the hose of my Rigid Vac to the dust collection port of my miter saw.
I found that a 2 inch to 1.5 inch rubber pipe coupling:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Fernco-2-in-dia-Flexible-PVC-Coupling-Fittings/1000075331, fits perfectly over the vacuum. The plastic coupling from the saw's dust collection bag fits inside the 1.5" end allowing the hose to easily removed.
Again, probably evident to most, but a very "clean" solution for me.
