Nice little old drill press, but $300 is way to much IMHO - it think they could sell it for $150-$200

Yes, I was thinking the best help would be to suggest fair prices for these tools. Drill and sander.
I don't think it is greed, just not understanding. I recently saw a HF lathe ( the one that sells new now for $450) listed for $1200. Estate sale so the poster probably really had no clue it is a $250 machine.

I did, we came to a price aggreement, picking it up on Thursday on my way to Charlotte for a meeting.
Good for you, it is a little different dropping the head rather than raising the table, but that machine will likely out live you!

I’m a fan of the old machines. This would have originally been on a production table, not a standard drill press with its own table, thus the head moving.
