An idea to make keepsakes for the family attending a wedding (mine) morphed into making one for all attendees.

Champagne flutes with celtic knots

Here are the completed flutes - all 57

Most were made from scrap wood I had - cherry, eastern red cedar, walnut, hard maple, sapele and tamarind.

The celtic knot is added by cutting the blank four times and gluing in scraps of contrasting wood

I used a forstner bit and steady rest to drill the blanks

They were finished with wipe-on poly in the outside and epoxy on the inside.

Very, very well done! I am guessing that the two in the foreground (with captured rings) are for the bride and groom toast...nice touch!
