Does anyone know what this folding bar is for? I just put the T3 on my Ridgid 4512 and other than drilling a few holes all went well. I just don’t know what this thing is, I’ve never seen this before.

According to the Reddit (which I am not a part of), it's either a supplemental rip fence for smaller stock, or an additional support for when you max out your saw's rip capacity.

Whenever ripping sheet goods and your fence is beyond the table top this flips down to support the work against the fence. You should see that it is the same height as the table top when it is in position. Otherwise work tends to slide under the fence.

I believe this is a low height rip guide. you flip it down to have a low fence height. I had one on a Bosch table saw that worked that way.
