If anyone is starting a small woodworking shop and needs a jointer check out my gallery for one I have posted there. It is mounted on a sturdy table and comes with purchased dust collection attachment. Asking $75.00. I live on Lake Gaston about 90 miles east of the Triangle. Used about a year before purchasing larger floor model.

Re: Dewalt Jointer for sale

Hey Mike - This is it:
Not a bad little jointer.
It's the one I started to buy then ended up with the Rikon . . . for just a few bucks more :eusa_whis

Re: Dewalt Jointer for sale

It is a 6" Delta Variable speed bench jointer. It measures 14" infeed and 14" outfeed. Good jointer but found I needed something with a larger table. Just got a Porter Cable router and am interested in making a table for it. I plan to make the cabinet but will need the set up for the top and fence. Make me an offer if the jointer is something you can use.

Re: Dewalt Jointer for sale

I'll take it at your original asking price! As a newbie, a jointer is my next purchase and I've been looking at the Delta.
I'm in Durham, so a trip up your way would be a piece of cake. I have to work ths weekend, but could swing by in the evening Thurs or Fri. Let me know what works for you! -Mike

Re: Dewalt Jointer for sale

I work week-ends as well so Thursday night would be best for me. Let me know. I am off Interstate 85.

My "A few bucks more" comment was a bit of a joke. I started out looking to spend 75 bucks and ended up spending close to 500. The dreaded Woodguy disease got to me. See other thread "New Rikon Jointer".

FWIW - Woodcraft carries Rikon Tools.

No matter who buys it, I have a FREE parts machine that was lying at the curb, looking for a home. As I said, it is a parts machine- some parts are missing. VS speed control is no good, but price is hard to beat. I keep thinking about taking to dump, but this is a better solution. Bruce

Maybe? I took it apart to see what was wrong-varible speed control is toast. Motor will run full speed only. A few small parts are missing. Either someone here gets it or the dumpster gets it.

i have one, and in an effort to save land fill space i would be happy to take it off you hands if nobody else wants to take it. i will step down if someone wants it that dosen't have one or has one that needs parts off of it.

I have a view of Lake Gaston this morning with its water over the bulkhead and half way up the yard. What a storm. Where are the ducks? I am having flashbacks from Hurricane Floyd. Help Help Help

it was a nice ride that included a hike around the knob at pilot mountain, and a trip over to hanging rock state park, and another hike to a couple water falls.

Other than a few missed turns on the way out to Lorraine and Al's, it was great fun to meet a member in the flesh. I got to envy Lorraine's nicely laid out shop and incredible stacks of hardwood that have their own storage building! I also got to admire the several walnut chests she built in the past year! Her walnut secretary desk will be beautiful- I'm looking forward to the pics when it's done. Sorry I didn't bring my camera to document it.

Perhaps more importantly, the 6" jointer found a loving home and has been happy making lots of sawdust as I build a cradle for my soon to be born niece!

Another happy story brought to you by this website! Thanks all-Mike

Mark, looks like a coupla chips off the old block  Or professional security detail you brought along!

And Mike (novice99) you hit the nail on the head! It is another successful NCWWer story. Apparently everyone was a winner on this venture. :icon_thum

I like happy endings!
