Cypress?

There is a mill nearby that saws & sells cypress. I need to replace the sides on my utility trailer, and this guy's pricing on cypress seems good.

Would cypress be suitable for such use?

If his wood looks good, I think I see some projects in the future... :eusa_danc

Cypress is a delight to work with. Holds up well to the weather, but it's kinda soft. White oak would be better for your trailer project, but if the cypress price is right then it's "nothing ventured and nothing gained". :icon_cheers

You might talk to this place in Micanopy. They may be a bit pricey but the wood is fantastic.
