My wife and I are looking for someone in the Charlotte (or surrounding) area who may have a CNC machine that we could use (or rent some time on).

The project: As some of you know, she has a side business renting out large yard signs (www.storksandsigns.com). The signs are 8ft by 4ft and are simply an outline cut. We'd like to use a CNC machine to cut out a few & (if possible) round-over the edges.

(Sure, we can do this with a jig saw and handheld router, but wanted to try something different)

If you might be able to help, please let me know! :icon_thum

Jeremy,
John Karstedt does CNC for folks. He's in Wesley Chapel. I don't have his number handy but if you'll call Woodcraft in Matthews they keep a stack of his cards in their drawer and will be glad to give you his number.
I guess you know that the set-up time/programing time for a CNC machine can be long and costly. I wouldn't go this route unless you anticipate needing a large number of signs.
