I am making a homemade version of this tool and could use some help from NCWW's that own this tool. I need to see some pics at different angles of the head w/o the tip on. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

What is this tool you speak of?
I'd like to see a photo please.

It's one sweet piece of metal.

I have the tips for both the Ci1 & Ci2. Last night I picked up some bars of zinc coated key steel in 12" lengths cheap about 2.99 ea. all I have to do now is grind the "flat", tap it for the screws, and put it in a handle. I also found a really inexpensive supplier for carbide tips today while bumming around on WOW.

I was thinking the same thing. Once you figure it out, I would like to get the plans if you dont mind sharing. Thanks!

Cool tool!
Basically a take on the Oland tool, or was it the other way around? :eusa_thin

Looks easy to make, I might try some.
You can get carbide inserts for metal lathe tools that look just like those.
I bet they would be fairly cheap also, as they unusally come in sets to fit a cutter head.

I too would like to know where to get that key stock.

I have the C1 if you still need pics...I could post some this weekend. I haven't used it yet, but would be interested in buying a few extra inserts/blades if they were to be offered at a good price.

Try the above link for inserts if you don't have a local source. I stumbled on some 1/2" x 3/4" cold rolled bar stock & I plan to make some of these too. That's where I'll get my inserts.
