Only 79 more sawdust days til Christmas. Something for my grandson I knocked out this AM. OK, I slotted the dowels yesterday.

What is it, and do you think giving a kid such a big mallet is the best idea???:lol:

It's a peg-pounding thing. Pretty cool, actually. Make a <small> mallet for the little ones, and they can pound the pegs right through in just 2-3 whacks. Only takes me one whack, though!!!! Then they can turn the whole thing over, and pound 'em back through from the other side.
