Sounds like you have a lot of nice tools.
But please be careful you need all of your fingers.:eusa_hand

Well, be happy it was a sharp blade, they slice, dull ones tear. I hope it wasn't too bad. I have heard that more workshop injuries are from hand tools vs. power tools. Power tools just give worse injuries.

Glad you're OK. But I have a question for Steve C. Is this a new record for the length of time between joining and time to first injury?

Seriously, glad it wasn't a major injury. As one still recovering from a slight run in with my table saw here's hoping you've met your "injury quota" for the decade.

Ouch. Hope it wasn't too bad!

Maybe you oughta reconsider that sig line of yours... "Sharp Blades are the safest blades!"

No, I hold the record. Within an hour of putting this site up, I cut myself. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

It wasn't too bad. It dug in nice and smooth. At least I can be confident in my sharpening skills.

Oh my. Not good. Well, I am much better today. So far, no injuries. Of course, I'm headed for the hospital this afternoon to get an epidural for my lower back. Maybe I can get them to inject the top of my head, then I'm good for the year!

trying to imagine how one would get one's finger in the way of the chisel???

Actually, I always seem to cut my self with a hand tool when it's nowhere near any wood!

Like I said....woodworking IS a contact sport for some of us!!

Glad to hear it wasn't real bad and don't worry, we are sure we will join the ranks of the DL. Irene and I have supplied a compete first aid station in "the shop for midgets" in anticipation of needing it.

:eusa_doh:I have slipped with my chisel before and went full force into my hand. Luckily, for me, I was using some stanley's that I picked up from Borg Depot and I had more of a bruise than anything else. Of course, the dull blade *may* have had something to do with how I ended up in that situations....sooo maybe a sharp blade is a safe blade!?! :eusa_thin
