Does anyone know of a sharpening service in the Greensboro area ?

Mike, I'd like to learn sharpening too. I'm in Winston and could stop by when I am going to Steve Wall sometime.

I can’t see a reason to take a class, especially if you’re using a jig. There’s an abundance of YouTube videos on sharpening.

The major decisions are freehand/jig and stones/sandpaper.

Either way, if you’re going into this craft using & edge tools to any extent, you have to learn to sharpen hand tools!

I don’t get any feedback from utube. I learn quicker from a person standing beside me showing and correcting me as I go. Most normal people are similar. 50 years ago I had to figure everything out by myself. Now it’s much easier to get help.

I have developed a problem with my eyesight. So I cannot see well enough to get that micro bevel. That’s why, at my age, I just need them sharpened for me.
