Changes!!!!

Ok, things are missing. Menus are messed up. I can't get there from here. What happened to XXXXXXX.

I just updated to the latest version of vbulletin and also our portal software. So as of the moment I am writing this, almost all features are back to plain vanilla.

Over the next few days, I will be bringing back things and most will be back to normal. But not all. Some things will be changed permanntly.

More will be revealed as I get the old changes back and the new changes in place.

Actually, here I am living in a hotel room, my wife's gone home and everything is done down here except for 2 appointments on Mon and Tues. So there's nothing for me to do. So I thought I'd get the worst part over with.

Don't you just love slop-ware? I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out why web pages were hanging and timing out thru embarq but working thru cable. Who would ever have guessed that a modem could assume a router's address!

More work has been done. The menu on all pages has been updated except for the home page. There is bug that cause that and until That is found, I will not make any further changes to the menu. Unless the author can't fix it for some time.

Most features have been enabled, with the exception of some that require template changes. I haven't deide what to do about those.

Yes the menu is crowded and will be changed once the above mention bug is fixed.

More on that later.

Meantime, please take a very critical look at other things and let me know if you see any problems or missing functionality.

Is the Who's Online bar that used to be under the main menu gone or something that will be redone in time? I also noticed that the floating sidebar is not there. Will this be coming back.

I'm not trying to be a pain, but merely mentioning things I see.

The floating side menus will probably will not be back for awhile. The whose online can be found under "Other Links" for now.

You are not being a pain, I asked for feedback.

Just note this menu layout is temporary.

I just found the problem with the menu on the home page:eusa_danc, it wasn't a bug, just a setting. The guys at vbadvanced are great.

Now I can start the process of cleaning up the menu to make it more usable. Probably start later today.

Hey Steve, love the new blue links at the tops of the pages!! Makes navigation a lot easier!! However, 8-O now everyone can "see" what you are doing under the "Who's Online" section....did it always do that?? Hmmm....wonder if you can tell if Allen is sitting with me and I am playing spider while I am looking around??
