Carved Box

[Bugle]

I decided to see if I could make a carved box. The wife decided that it would do very well to get all the remote controls off the coffee table!! She has such great ideas!

I used 1/2" Aspen. It carved very easily and finishes nicely, too (the wife wanted it shiny so I used minwax satin poly).

It is 11L x 5 1/2W x 4H (including lid) It also has 3/4" buttons for legs.

Yea Ed, patterns (at least free ones) are hard to find. However, I stumbled on this site. They have some that are pretty simple (for simple folk like me) and some very complicated ones....and they are free:
