Captive Rings (A Tutorial)

A few years ago on a forum I used to frequent, A forum member, John (aka Doghouse) did an excellent tutorial on captive rings. John needed a permanent home for the tutorial so I helped him with that.
Welll, I've changed hosting services and have tried to get away from web site work since retiring, and the tutorial kinda got lost. I have located all the files and placed them on my current site (which is a mess, I need to work on that):roll:
I have no idea what happened to John, he disappeared from that forum along with others, but he wanted the information available for others to benefit from.
I turned the goblet above using his tutorial and his instructions made it a breeze.
Hopefully this will help others, if so thanks Doghouse, the info is his, not mine.

Oh, pay attention to the part about sanding before cutting the rings loose, I didn't do as he said and paid for it!:realmad:

Ken thanks for this I wish I had this about a year ago. but I have saved it for later. Nice goblet by the way.
