Cabinet Door Maker Recommendation

I'm looking at options to have cabinet doors made, after building and installing the 39 cabinets for my kitchen I have found myself without the motivation to make the doors and drawer fronts now. Going on 3 years and I'm sure you can imagine the wife isn't happy so I need to get this done.

I'm curious if anyone here has ordered cabinet doors from Steve Wall Lumber? I see they are an advertiser so I figured I'd ask in here. If you have experience with their doors, what did you think? Thanks!

If we custom build, we make our own doors. We are set up to do that though, but in our experience professional painting of the doors is actually more work than building the doors themselves.

I would not use Steve Wall though.

If you look online, there are many sources who will provide you with a finished product, ready to install.

Some cabinet shops even buy out all their doors.

I have a set of kitchen cabinets to make soon and am planning to get a quote from them for the doors. Mine will be maple with a clear finish. I'll most likely have the doors made and then spray the finish myself.

In the past the doors that come from Steve Wall were very well made doors. Both materials and workmanship. I worked there for about five years so I saw many sets. I drilled several sets for hinges. Having made doors in my own business for over thirty years, I think I'm a pretty good judge of quality.

We use to make doors and ship them all over the country.

Once had a $12,000 door order crated and shipped from NC to NJ. The customer gave us a Sherwin Williams paint code. Sherwin Williams botched it and the color was wrong. Fortunately had everything in writing. Sherwin Williams had a cabinet shop in NJ repaint all those doors at their cost.
