Broke the trunnion on my Rikon band saw.

I think I bought it around 2008, not sure. 10-325 Delux which is the taller saw with 111" blade.
The trunnions are listed as discontinued/Out of stock. P10-325-173 upper trunnion

But the other Rikon saw 324 has the same part or so they say.
Upper Table Trunnion L-3-1-2
P10-324-31B

If it doesn't fit I guess I'm buying a new band saw.

While I have it apart I checked everything else and some of my blade guide bearings are tight.
I think I replaced them 2015, I just ordered 20 new ones at $6.95. Total.
Some things are actually cheaper now. Last time was $11.95 for 10.

In case you're interested the bearings are 608ZZ Double Shielded

(Not rubber sealed) The rubber sealed ones don't last long.

I was installing a new blade and lifted the saw by the table to get more room for the door to open because the blade wouldn’t come out. Only needed to move it an inch. The trunnion just crumpled and fell apart.

All the Bandsaw MFG's should be sued that design / use potmetal trunnios!
Mine broke on my 80's / 90's Delta and I swore I would never own another bandsaw that had them.... (them promptly went out and bought a 10" (but at least it is hard to overload that little saw..

Had an old jet once
Trunions broke. I made some from lignum vitae. Since I never tilted it i didn't worry about buying new. However, they were tiltable. Sorry, no pictures. Saw long gone

old and in the way

Sorry to hear that the part is out of stock as Rikon, at least for me, has had stellar customer service. I have the same saw, and broke the same trunnion, but in a different way.

You might try this place as an alternative. I have used them for other parts, and they have come through for me.

Hope this helps.

They were out of stock on the original part.

They showed in stock on the alternative part so I ordered two. Then my order that they emailed to me said back order delivery in 2-3 weeks.

So, I went back to Rikon, ordered the alternative part and they promised delivery in 5-8 days.

I have work to do and no way to cut so I will take a vacation and do other stuff around the house.

Oh, here’s the broken trunnion…

is there any way to temporarily mount the table in a fixed position so you can get your cuts made?

I don’t feel like messing with it. New parts will be here in a few days, if they don’t fit I’m going to Klingspor to buy a new band saw. Hopefully I can get the same size so I don’t have to buy a bunch of new blades.

I could probably make the parts but I don’t weld. I don’t care about the geared track.
I have a Hobart Handler MIG welder, though I use Flux core. Not hard to learn how to weld smaller items: use the settings specified, pull the pool. You are welcome to view it a go, and I can drop it by your place.
