I recognize his e-mail addy from a while ago (Great TS relay). I don't think that he is a NC resident. I think that he is Bones from Woodnet, who is a nice guy with a big heart, but does tend to be (or was) one of the trouble makers. If anyone remembers the Joe Lydon incident, it actually brought out the WN mods for a scolding. His first posts are rather interesting? What y'all think?

I agree that we should keep an eye on his posts -- the ones to relating to Kyle's Claro Walnut shipment were close to the edge IMHO... I liked your comments in reply to his other post.

Born and raised in Charlotte. Attended UNC. Moved to Florida, back to Durham, back to Florida. Have a place in Highlands we got to twice a year. Will probably rretire 1/2 time here. Know and like a number of your members. Buy my wood from Kyle in Iron Station. Other than that, can't think of a thing:lol:

I'm going to let it stand. Let's see how it goes.

Steve, I want you to make that call. Alan, what I know of him, is a great guy with a good sense of humor (that I appreciate, others may not). He's friends with Gator, so he can't be too bad. I say let him stay, but you make the rules.

That was his reply to my question. That seems to be sufficient for my purposes. BUT, if anyone feels that I'm stretching to let him stay, please tell us.

Anyone who helped complete the famous DaveO table saw trek last fall desrves our consideration and thanks. I remember reading the entire thread on WN as it evolved and together, a group including DaveO and Bonewood (aka Bones), helped get free stuff to a flegling woodworker in TN. I think he fits our mold.
