Blackbeard The Legendary Pirate
Laser cut on my @toocaa_official 20w Laser Engraver
The design is by Jeffrey Flick and is laser cut from 1/4 inch material from @buildersdiscountcenter (the backer board is also 1/4 inch material)
The portrait was stained with a light @minwaxusa wood stain and the backer was spray painted with @rustoleum spray paint.
The half lap frame is made from an upcycled 2x4 on my @rikon_powertools table saw and @craftsman router table
The frame was glued together with @thegorillagluecompany wood glue and everything else was glued together with Medium Grade CA Glue and Activator from @klingsporswoodworkingshop
I clear coated the piece with several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss and after it dried, I took a hot glue guy and wrapped wax coated twin around each corner for a nautical look
Blackbeard is undoubtedly the most famous Pirate ever, and he called North Carolina home, I've been Blessed to go to Beaufort, NC and see artifacts from his flagship the Queen Anne's Revenge at the @ncmaritimemuseumbeaufort
