I need to pull a bigger wire to the subpanel in my shop/garage.

Need about 75 feet of Copper 6 ga 3 conductor with ground.

Is there a big difference in prices or will it cost about the same anywhere.

Anybody got an inside line on heavy wire?

Got any extra laying around for a good price? :dontknow:

Mike, why cooper? I talked to a lot of folks last year and ended up going with an aluminum feed (2-2-4) from my house to the new shop. Mine is for 100 AMP service and I ran 100 feet. It cost me less then $120.00. I bet cooper would cost 3 or 4 times that.

I did the same thing when I ran power to my shop. I may have another solution for you so I sent a PM. :wsmile:

Looks like 50ft if 6-3 copper at Lowes is about $135.00

Progress Electric charged me $167.00 to run cable to my shop for 200 amp service. I just had to level out the ditch they left behind after burying the cable.

This is going through the ceiling of my basement to the in-basement garage.

I might go with Aluminum but then I will have to go to a larger gauge. Don't really want a bigger cable in there.

Always trying to save a little money without sacrificing quality.
