Both you and Graywolf added a shim under the bracket. For stability or height?Finished my vise this morning. 1 coat shellac and 1 coat waterlox. Why waterlox? Because that's what I had on hand. View attachment 202950
Height. Apparently the European saw through me on the dado or I made the wheel too big. Either way I had to get the wheel off the bench. I have 10" from the bottom to the dado. I don't remember what that measurement was supposed to be so I can't say for sure why it turned out that way. Both you and Graywolf added a shim under the bracket. For stability or height?
Good eye, two-fold, I like the added height but the leg was getting involved with the screw on my leg vise. It was only by an inch, so it was no big deal. Both you and Graywolf added a shim under the bracket. For stability or height?
Check the NCWW-0006 drawing. Should have been 8.5” from the top of the leg to the top of the dado.I have 10" from the bottom to the dado.
just checked. it is 8.5" top to dado, however my clamp block is only 1.625" thick. 9" would have worked. no problem. it works very well.Check the NCWW-0006 drawing. Should have been 8.5” from the top of the leg to the top of the dado.
