I have been using a BeMaCo Fast Saw Set for several years. Recently I had several bushings, lever arms, and push mechanisms wear out. It is fairly expensive to have machinist make new parts. Does anyone know where I could purchase and a BeMaCo Fast Saw Set? If it is in good condition I could use it or if not the parts would help me out. Thanks for your time.

You might also put this question to a saw filing site:

and to the Neanderthal Forum at Sawmill Creek:

Keep a search active on EBAY and Craigslist.

However, it is a 60 year old machine and if you use it enough to wear it out might be worth the money to get some replacement parts made for it. I guarantee you that if you go to a machinist and get that underway you will find at least 4 good machines for short money the day after you pay him:rotflm:. You will be set for life.

Good Hunting.

You might also see if you can find some old Foley equipment that does the same job. Lots more of that floating around.

PS: Looks like the original ads for this machine in Popular Mechanics called it a Rapid Saw Set.
