Just received my new BS tyres from the UK; they are not the Ureathane type so need glueing on. Any recommedations for adhesive?

Thanks.

Do they reccomend anything in particular? I would think some type of epoxy. Not sure what kind to buy though. I know my epoxy from an engineering standpoint for concrete and things of that nature, but not when it comes to tooling.

I remember in my Iturra catalog they had a special adhesive from 3M, but I don't remember what. Unfortunately, I am going out of town this afternoon and can't check my catalog at home. I don't think epoxy would be appropriate as it would be miserable to get it off to replace them in the future.

Good thought Travis. I didn't think about them needing to come off in the future. I was thinking more permanent application. Hrrrrmmmmm.....I really don't have a clue.

I was thinking more like a contact adhesive - you only need to stop them slipping and rolling off the edge, but the glue line needs to be thin so as not to upset the "run out" on the tyre.

Shopsmith sells a glue for their old type tires (Ooops, forgot you speak Royal - tyres) hehe.
I threw mine out when I installed the new type. Sorry..but ask the same Q to SS owners or look on the site.

Thanks - I have also heard 3M "weather strip" adhesive. I will check in Ace Lunch time.
