Well, I am finally back in the shop after C5/C6 surgery.
Since I am on a roll with dumb shop items I thought I would pass this along.
Before being locked out of the shop back at the end of July I was working on two large vanities for the master bath. These are free standing vanities made from hardwood. I had just finished gluing up a number of large panels. I decided to just leave them in the clamps thinking this would be a good way to keep them flat. Think it would have worked except for one thing. In Aug. the humidity is high and in Dec. the humidity is low. I decided to move them out of the way this morning. They are in Bessey clamps sitting up. When I picked the first panel up it fell out of the clamps. They were all this way. Shrinkage got me.
The good news is they are all over sized by a bunch and still need to be planned to final thickness. Will have to do some ripping and re-gluing but at least I do not have to start all the way over.
Just thought this might help someone else in the future.
