Auto Feed Drain Cleaner

Today, I had the pleasure (yeah, right) of cleaning the building drain on a project I'm doing for a family member. Went to HD in Fuquay and rented an auto feed drain cleaner. What this means is as cable rotates, it automatically advances or retracts depending upon which gear you have it in. It's a pleasure to not have to force cable into or out of sewer. You let the machine do the work. It's still a messy job though. (I wouldn't go and eat pizza without washing my hands first.) Sometimes cast iron pipe will develop a "flake" of rust that will snag toilet paper, stopping up the drain . I got some roots and a rag out of the drain, so it will be a diet of copper sulfate for the drain.
