Hi All,
I picked up these slabs eons ago thinking I would use them in some kind of wall art..wood tapestry etc. They've been kicking around the shop and it's pretty clear I'm never going to get around to using them...so someone else might as well. They are bone dry. The cherry is pretty curly but is warped and twisted..not good for flat work...but the sapwood/heartwood contrast would be very nice when finished. The taller piece is about 50" long. The walnut is pretty "burly" ( it is not book-matched).
I've seen natural edge pieces like these framed on art gallery walls...so if someone has a bent for abstract wood art or anything else creative, I will donate them to your cause.
Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
